1900-1901. Flett, John
Bakkie, made a fairly large collection at Unalaska in the middle
of June 1900 and at Nome, and 10 miles W. of Nome at the end of July and
beginning of August. In 1901 he visited Tatoosh I. July 14; Helm
Bay July 19; Katz Hbr Aug. 4 and Guard I. Aug. 7 (at Prince of Wales I.)
and Ketchikan Aug. 8. About 300 species were collected in that year.
He published two papers on the trip in 1900: »Ferns and allies at
Unalaska and Nome City» (Fern Bull. 9, 1901) and »Notes on
the flora about Nome City» (Plant World 4, 1901).
1901-1903. Campbell,
Edgar O., obtained a small collection at Pt Clarence in 1901
and another at St. Lawrence I. in 1903. They are now in Nat. Herb.,
Washington.
1901. Hartman,
G. H., accompanied SCHRADER on the trip along John R. and Colville
R. to the Polar Sea. He collected at the same places as SCHRADER.

O. C., collected at St. Michael in Sept. Specimens in Prov.
Mus. Nat. Hist. Victoria B. C.
1901-1902. Horne,
William Titus, employed at the Salmon hatchery at Karluk, made
in the vicinity of that place a fairly large collection, now in N. Y.
Bot. Gard.
1901. Jones,
Isaak, employed by the Alaska Experiment Stations, obtained about
80 specimens near Rampart in June and July. They are now in
Nat. Herb., Washington.
1901. Nielsen.,
Hans P., superint. of the Kenai Agricult. Exp. Station, collected
about 60 specimens, now in Nat. Herb., Washington, at Kenai in June and
July.
1901. Pratt.
»Mrs HENRY PRATT» collected single specimens, now in Gray
Herb. and Calif. Acad., at Unalaska.
1901-1902. Poto,
William L., of the U. S. Geol. Surv., accompanied in 1901 a surveying
party, which travelled from Fort Hamlin along Dall R., Kanuti R., Alatna
R. and Kowak R. to Kotzebue Sd. About 160 spec., now in Nat. Herb.,
Washington, were collected. W. C. MENDENHALL is given as collector
on the labels of these specimens, but in the report of the voyage (U.
S. Geol. Surv., Prof. Paper 10), where a list of the plants classified
by COVILLE and WIGHT is found, it is stated that the plants were collected
by POTO. The following places occur on the labels: June 29
