was visited in June and July, and in July-August 1900 Dortland Creek (?).
1898.   McIlhenny, E. A., collected some few plants at King I., Pt Barrow and 35 miles S. of Pt Barrow.  They are now in N. Y. Bot. Garden.
1898.    Andersson, Frithiof, Dr., took part in the expedition of O. NORDENSKJÖLD to the Yukon.  ANDERSSON did most of the botanical collecting.  The following places were visited: June 3 Lake Bennette; June 10-15 Lake Tagish; June 15 the mouth of Hootalingua R.; June 18 (probably) about Five Finger Rapids; June 23 Fort Selkirk; June 27 the mouth of Stewart R.; July 1-20 Stewart R. valley; July 5-20 Black Hill Creek; July 20-25 Big (Montana) Creek, Indian R.; Dawson; Aug. 20 Bear Creek; Sept. 20 Dawson.  Medium-sized collection in Riksmuseum, Stockholm.
1898.   Nordenskjöld, Otto, Professor of Geography at the University of Gothenburg, collected a few plants during the expedition together with F. ANDERSSON.   He left Andersson at the mouth of Stewart R. on June 27 and proceeded to Dawson, where he arrived July 1.  July 10-20 he investigated Eldorado Creek and then returned to ANDERSSON at Black Hill Creek.  Collections in Stockholm.   A report of the expedition is found in Ymer 19 (1899) p. 81-105.
1898-1902.   Schrader, Frank Charles, of the U. S. Geol. Survey, collected during these years about 300 specimens, which are preserved in Nat. Herb., Washington.  In 1898 He belonged to the »Military Exploring Expedition» under Capt. ABERCROMBIE and collected between Valdez and Copper R. and along that river (Twentieth Ann. Rep. U. S. Geol. Surv. part 7 p. 341-423).   In 1899 he explored along Chandalar, Koyukuk and Alatna rivers (Twentyfirst Ann. Rep. U. S. Geol. Surv. part 2 p. 441-486).   In 1901 he made geological investigations along Koyukuk R., John R., Anaktuvuk R. and Colville R. to the Polar Sea and along the coast to cape Lisburne (U. S. Geol. Surv., Prof. paper 20, 1904).  June 28 he was at upper John R. July 9-21 he worked near the Arctic Divide, July 25 at upper Colville R., Aug. 5-8 at middle Colville R., Aug. 12-14 at lower Colville R. and Sept. 4 at Pt Barrow.  In 1902 he made geological investigations in the upper Copper R. and Tanana R. valleys (Twentyfourth Ann. Rep. U. S. Geol. Surv. p. 79-93).   In 1901-1902 he travelled together with G. H. HARTMAN.
1898-99.   Williams, Robert Statham, of the N. Y. Bot. Gard., made a large collection of plants in the Yukon.   The specimens are
