        1887.   Dawson, George Mercer, geologist of the Canad. Geol. Survey, collected about 200 species in the Yukon territory. The collection is now in Ottawa. A list of the plants was published by J. MACOUN (Rep. Ann. Comiss. Geol. Hist. Nat. Canada 3 App. 3, Ottawa 1889). Collections were made at the following places: June 22 Dease R. lat. 59°; July 23 Finlayson R. lat. 61° 30'; Aug. 23 Lewes R. lat. 62° and in Aug. Pelly Banks lat. 61°.
        1887.   Ogilvie, W., of the Canadian Geol. Survey, accompanied DAWSON and collected between the Lynn Canal and Lewes R. and along that river to the Alaskan border. His specimens are enumerated by MACOUN in his report of Dawson’s plants.
        1889.   Bean, Tarleton Hoffman, collected about 85 specimens at Kodiak I. They are now in Nat. Herb., Washington.
        1889.   Bates, Octavius S., gathered. chiefly at Fort Yukon, a small collection, now in the University of California. Duplicates determined by GREENE in Nat. Herb., Washington and other museums.
        1889.   Russell, Israel Cook, of the U. S. Geol. Survey, collected in 1889 about 250 specimens along lower Yukon R. The following places were visited: June 29 Unalaska; July 10 St. Michael; July 14 Yukon Delta; July 16-18 Andreavski-Anvik; July 23-27 Nulato-Novikakat (probably=Dall R.); July 28 »Lower Ramparls of Yukon» (above the mouth of Tanana R); Aug. 2 Fort Yukon. Collections in Nat. Herb., Washington.
        1889-91.   Turner, John Henry, assistant in the U. S. Coast and Geodetic Survey, collected along lower Yukon R. to Fort Yukon and then along Porcupine R. to the boundary (»Camp Colonna»). In the spring of 1891 he returned to St. Michael, where he stayed until July. Collections in Univ. of Calif., duplicates determined by GREENE in Nat. Herb., Washington.
        1890.   Palmer, William, of the U. S. Nat. Mus., collected about 100 specimens at Unalaska and on the Pribilof Is. They are now in Nat. Herb., Washington.
        1890.   Cushing, Henry Platt, accompanied H. F. RIGG on the expedition to Muir Glacier and collected 86 species there. A list of them was published by REID in Nat. Geogr. Mag. 4 (1892).
        1890.   Fassett, H. C., obtained a small collection in July 1890 at Unalaska and Herendeen Bay. Specimens in Gray Herb. and Nat. Herb., Washington.
