A small, but tall, streambed species which favors higher elevations commonly known as the
"alpine speedwell", "hairy speedwell" or "alpine Veronica".  Veronica wormskjoldii Roemer
& J.A. Schultes has been moved to the family Plantaginaceae according the ITIS Standard Report
