ITIS now uses a different system and the classification phylem no longer exists.  The species shown in
this site are all within the infrakingdom Streptophyta (Land Plants) which is a subdivision of the
subkingdom Viridaephyta (Green Plants) within the kingdom Plantae (Plants).  Two divisions are
represented, Bryophyta (Mosses and Hornworts), the familiy being Merchantiaceae, and Tracheophyta
(Vascular Plants) which contains the rest of the families within Plantae.
