Rubus arcticus L.

A small ground-clinging species with a delicious red berry known as the "nagoonberry",
"wineberry", "arctic raspberry", "dwarf raspberry", "northern blackberry", "arctic bramble",
" dwarf blackberry", " crimson blackberry" and "nectarberry".  There are three subspecies:
arcticus, acaulis and stellatus in our area and they hyrbidize.
